Therapeutic Focus & Application
I am a holistic, trauma-informed therapist and my focus is working with adolescents (15yrs+) and adults on issues related to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and neurodivergence (ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders). I also work with issues such as spiritual trauma and abuse, childhood emotional neglect and unbalanced family systems. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, relational, and depth-based. I incorporate psychoanalytic depth work, existential psychotherapy, as well as somatic and mindfulness practices incorporating the body and strengthening a body-mind connection as it feels safe to do so.
My desire is to get to the underlying issues causing distress and pain within a safe and supportive environment. I wish to partner with you to process your feelings, find new ways of understanding yourself and how you make meaning of your experiences.
I believe that trauma is not something that happens to you, but what happens inside you as a result of your experiences (Gabor Maté). Exploring how your body responds to overwhelming experiences is one way we will work together to unravel your story.
