Melissa Marshall, LMHCA
Therapeutic Focus & Application
I have 25 years’ experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families regarding issues of depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, and other related issues. My areas of expertise include relational problems, sexual abuse issues, trauma/PTSD, dissociative disorders, and attachment issues.
I am a holistic, trauma-informed, relational therapist and I believe a person’s heart is to be in a relationship where they can be fully seen and known. Everyone has a story that needs to be heard. Everyone is unique and therefore every therapeutic relationship is different. Our work together will be to find the best fit where the uniqueness of the individual can be seen. Our work will be grounded in Attachment theory, Narrative therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and other mindfulness and grounding techniques.
I am a mother to 4 adult children, and wife to my husband for over 25 years. I am originally from the Midwest and have found that the beauty of the Pacific Northwest gives me rest and grounding. I love spending time with my hubby and adult children. When I am not doing those things, I can be found on a hidden beach in the sand.
